How we print?
We fuss over every print like it’s our first — with equal parts care, craft, and curiosity.
What began as a letterpress-only outfit has grown into a full-on print playground, thanks to our ever-curious minds and the wonderful folks we’ve met along the way.
From deep impressions to shiny finishes, here’s a peek at the techniques we’ve picked up over the years while we continue to explore and grow.
-
The tactile one.
Ink is pressed into thick, luxurious paper, leaving behind a deep impression you can see and feel. Great for cards, invitations, and anything that deserves a handcrafted, elegant finish.
-
Shiny, matte, or holographic.
Foil is pure visual drama. Applied with heat and pressure, it gives your design a bold pop of metallic or pigment that catches the light (and attention).
-
All about the feels.
We raise your design off the page — no ink, just texture. Perfect for logos, monograms, or patterns that quietly demand a closer look.
-
The workhorse of print.
Clean, sharp, and beautifully consistent — ideal for high-volume jobs like books, boxes, or fine-detail graphics. Great when quality and quantity both matter.
-
Quick, nimble.
Great for small runs or one-offs.
It delivers crisp, full-colour results without the lengthy setup — perfect for tight deadlines or highly personalised pieces. -
Because not everything has to be a rectangle.
We cut your print into custom shapes, windows, or edges — adding a playful or functional twist right from the start.
How it started?
What began as a graduation trip to New York in 2011 — and a spontaneous letterpress workshop — quickly snowballed into something much bigger.
By the end of that trip, we had bought our very first machine: a 300+kg, 70-year-old Vandercook SP15 proof press off eBay, and shipped it all the way back to Singapore.
Young and impulsive? Absolutely. But that moment marked the beginning of The Gentlemen’s Press. Learn more
